You have to face it: People like way too much to feel comfortable. They will rather go to a bad doctor who gives them good news, than a good one who gives them bad news.
Humans are completely hardwired to worry about things later, just look at children who don't start their homework until it is way too late, or people who eat junkfood and have a heart attack "later".

He's cheating me out of the game. There's no way he could have known I was building stuff at my base. It's just not possible. So many people maphack these days. I say "You maphack!". He says "I don't think so". That's total maphack! Only people who maphack say they don't maphack! His whole attitude is maphack. --Downwhere

People like you that are looking into the facts behind the smoke and mirrors of news articles are making it so much harder for hardworking journalists to write pieces that back up their beliefs. Citing references are only what "so called experts" do. And who believes them? Ignorant Journalist's Union will be on your door any minute and take away your blogging license.

How come you are nominating bad journalism for the term maphacker by the way? They do not seem to see much beyond their own beliefs. It's only in their delusion that they have the playing field view. But, he is probably correct in that the price of oil is more influenced by news and world politics that the price of for example foodstuff (that seems to be governed by stupid environmentalists and other short sighted individuals).
